Coldsprings-Excelsior Fire and Rescue

Coldsprings-Excelsior Fire and Rescue is a part-paid/volunteer fire dept that provides fire protection and BLS life support to 3 townships in Kalkaska County, northern Michigan. These Townships include Coldsprings, Excelsior, Oliver, and a portion of Rapid River as well. We also provide mutual aid to other fire departments in the surrounding area. We are trained in structural firefighting, wildland firefighting, hazmat awareness, vehicle extrication and stabilization, ice and water rescue and have off-road/snowmobile rescue capabilities. We also provide non-transporting BLS life support. We also house a fully staffed transporting ALS ambulance at our station.
